Youth

The Youth Group (6-12 grade) participates fully in the life and work of the church.  Each week, the group meets for faith formation before or after church (youth group members are encouraged to participate in worship).  In addition to weekly meetings, the group gathers through out the month for a variety of activities ranging from fun days to mission events.

Through out the year there are special events for our youth group.  The teenagers learn about activism, participate in the arts, worship together and hold events for the congregation.  The middle school group attends camp in the summer together, while the high schoolers participate in a mission trip.  The mission trip for the high schoolers rotates each year to either the Dominican Republic or to a location within the United States.

Meet Lisa Franceware, St. Ambrose Youth Leader

I have always been involved in my church while growing up, and I became even more involved during my high school and college years. Originally from New Orleans, I moved to Boulder, Colorado, to attend the University of Colorado, and I am currently a senior in the Environmental Studies Program. I became a parishioner of St. Ambrose in November 2011 after I joined their mission trip to the Dominican Republic in the summer of 2011. Before, I was a member of St. Aidan's Episcopal Church in Boulder, and I am still a part of their campus ministry. I highly enjoy working with our middle school and high school youth, and as they learn from me I equally learn from them.

During the school year, our middle and high school youth gather during the first half of the 10:30a service for a discussion on the lessons of the day.

Twice a month our youth participate in youth group meetings experiencing fun activities, service projects, Blblical discussions, and fellowship.
